Daniel Summer, Founder and CEO

Mr. Summer founded Accelerated Servers in 1998 and has been actively involved with Accelerated's strategy, customers, and product vision.

An industry leader in high-performance hardware, video compression, content delivery, and large-scale storage and compute infrastructures, Daniel focuses on Accelerated Servers' growth, primarily in the Federal and Content Delivery spaces. Mr. Summer also is the founder and Chairman of DVLabs, which has been delivering large-scale video on the Internet since 1999.

Avi Freedman, CTO

Avi runs the Accelerated Servers Architecture, R+D, and Custom Solutions groups, focusing on network sensing and analytics; cloud computing; and large-scale high-performance storage systems. A noted expert in Internet routing, computing, storage, and monitoring, he is a regular speaker at network and research conferences, and works with Daniel to drive the evolving Accelerated Servers product strategy.

Prior to joining Accelerated Servers, Avi was at Akamai Technologies from October 1999 to August 2009, where he was the founding Vice President of Network Architecture and Infrastructure. Avi Freedman was most recently Distinguished Engineer and Chief Network Scientist for Akamai Technologies, where he oversaw the development and evolution of Akamai's network and content delivery technologies to new applications. Prior to joining Akamai, Freedman served as Vice President of Engineering at AboveNet, where he led the architecture, implementation and operation of AboveNet's ISXs and of the AboveNet global IP network. In 1992, Freedman founded Netaxs, the first ISP in Philadelphia, PA, and was its CEO and later CTO. Mr. Freedman is a frequent contributor of articles and tutorials to networking publications and conferences, and was on the Advisory Council of ARIN for the first four years of ARIN's existence.

Eric Moore, Ph.D, Co-founder

Eric has supported government clients in the Intelligence Community (IC) guiding strategic planning, developing and delivering training, and providing research and analysis support on collection management. He is an accomplished practitioner in guiding collection of information into analysis of intelligence into successful operations, with a focus on open source. Dr. Moore has experience in managing the analysis, development, facilitation, and implementation of business and technology solutions.

Kevin Curran, Vice President of Sales

Kevin Curran is Vice President of Sales at Accelerated Servers, where he spearheads the sales strategy, execution, and business development efforts for the company, focusing in the Federal, Carrier, and Financial markets. Previously, Mr. Curran was Vice President, Federal and Eastern Region for Allied Telesis; Vice President of Federal Sales at Bivio Networks; Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Fortress Technologies; Vice President of Federal Sales at 3Com; and Senior Director of Eastern North America at Riverstone Networks, where he focused on the Service Provider industry. Mr Curran is an active member of Industry Advisory Council (ACT/IAC) working closely on Information Technology issues with both Government and Industry leaders in the Federal Market.

Lawrence Widman, Ph.D, M.D., Senior Director of Engineering

Dr. Widman leads the development and QA groups at Accelerated Servers. He has a 30 year history in computer hardware and software, Artificial Intelligence, embedded systems, and networking. A published expert in the field of Medical Artificial Intelligence, Dr. Widman has done groundbreaking work in medical applications of signal processing and data analysis and has been active in the Medical AI community.

Bernard Mojzes, Senior Director of Support

Mr. Mojzes runs support and logistics for Accelerated Servers. He has been in the field of technical operations, support, and systems and network engineering since the early 1990s, first at Netaxs, where he ran the support and provisioning groups; then at Coretel, where he ran the network architecture, engineering, and operations; and then at MFC, LLC, where he ran support, provisioning, billing, and technical operations for an 80-gigabit international set of Internet collocation, storage, and compute infrastructures.
