Upcoming Trellis Data Platform

We've listened to your requests and are developing a platform to handle NetFlow, Performance, and routing information (to start), available on our shared hosted platform, on dedicated hosted platforms, or as a managed on-premesis solution.

All elements of the backend are High Availability and scalable, and rather than an appliance approach, we are feeding data to and running analytics on a customized big data platform that allows us to drive real-time alerts and reporting; unstructured map/reduce for deep data querying; and work with our customers who are looking to use data to drive network maanagement and integrate with OpenFlow and other SDN technologies.

The first alerting, analytics, and reporting functionalities will be around billing; traffic engineering (top talkers); dDoS detection and filtering (with automated anomaly detection coming in later releases); and performance analytics by application, local POP/next-hop, and remote network.

We're developing this based on customer demand, so if you are interested please ping us and we will get you early access to the system.  We can take remote flow (Netflow v5 ro v9, sFlow, or jFlow) feeds from routers as well as from PacketAnalyst sensors, but performance analytics currently required a local PacketAnalyst to run the bundled tcpperf module.

Updates for 6/15 PacketOs Release

The new GUI front-end will be available for the PacketAnalyst in the release targeted for June 15. Using the GUI, you will be able to:

• View and edit the configuration of the system components
• See real-time grapha of per-port ingest rates
• See per application ingest in bps or pps, for traffic processed and/or dropped
